Karen White

With over 18 years of experience in Early Years education, I have had the privilege of working with children across a range of settings, including the past 13 years at Mylnhurst. Throughout my career, I’ve taught in every class from Nursery to Prep 2, bringing a wealth of knowledge and passion to each role. I hold a BA Honours degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), specialising in Early Years education.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that all children have the potential to learn, and I am deeply committed to providing the opportunities, experiences, and guidance needed for them to reach their full potential. During the early years, children's minds are like sponges, absorbing everything they see, hear, and experience. I believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged in practical, play-based lessons—learning through fun and exploration is at the heart of my approach.

In addition to my teaching role, I also serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring that the welfare and safety of every child remain a top priority.

Outside of school, I am a wife, mother to three daughters, a mother-in-law, and a proud nanny to my grandson and granddaughter. In my spare time, I love travelling to different countries and, above all, spending quality time with my family.
