Helen Riddle

I love having fun and the sound of laughter, and working in Early Years gives me this joy every day. Before joining Mylnhurst Nursery, I flew as cabin crew and moved through the ranks to become a Safety and Emergency Procedures, CRM and Conflict Management Trainer. After having children I became a lecturer in Aviation at Sheffield City College. With three young children of my own, I decided to move into the Early Years Sector, where I have found my true calling. My husband is a pilot based in Hong Kong, which allows me to maintain my passion for travel. I am an avid sports fan, particularly of Formula 1 and football, and hold a season ticket for Sheffield Wednesday. I’ll take on any roller coaster ride—perhaps that’s why I’m a Wednesday fan.

Working with young children is an absolute privilege, and I genuinely cherish the relationships I build with our families, the opportunity to watch children blossom, and the chance to support them on the first steps of their educational journey. I have worked at Mylnhurst Nursery for 15 years and know what a truly special place it is!
